Hands On program overview:
First kick-off event was in 30th Jan, around 20 volunteers came that day and they sent small gifts prepared by Handson. Regular visiting activity will start from 27th Feb, after the Springs Festival holidays. 10 volunteers in total will come to join this program each week. Their main task is to help parents and nursing assistants to protect and encourage children during their rehabilitation.
Volunteer Details:
Volunteer activities can be as simple as putting a smile on a child's face and giving them extra attention. Because the children of Cerecare face many physical and sometimes mental difficulties, volunteers should understand that intensive care and therapy are best left to professionals.
At the same time, committed volunteers who make an effort to steadily invest their time and care can make a world of difference to the children.
We encourage volunteers interested in visiting Cerecare to make sure they have stable schedules and are able to volunteer on a regular basis. Because a fluid population of volunteers who come and go will have a negative emotional impact on the children, volunteers should consider carefully whether the Cerecare program is suitable for their schedules before signing up to participate.
