脑瘫是人在出生前、出生后或婴儿期，由于控制运动的小部分脑组织受到损害导致的肌肉控制失调，身体运动困难和体位不正常。同时还可能伴有智力、视力、语言、学习等障碍。中国婴儿脑瘫率正在逐年上升，目前患病率以为3‰！ 成都小儿脑瘫康复中心是华西南地区治疗该病的权威机构，目前有80多名来自全国各地的患儿在该院治疗。牵手成都志愿者的工作主要是陪孩子完成运动，感觉，认知，语言方面的训练，是孩子们能够更加顺利，精力集中的完成训练。对于有意愿参加此项活动的志愿者，我们希望你们可以经常性，习惯性的参加，因为长期志愿者的长期流动会对孩子的康复有不利的影响。

Cerebral palsy is one of the most common congenital (existing before birth or at birth) disorders of childhood. In China, about 6,800,000 children have the condition. Chengdu CP rehabilitation centre is the leading one in South Western China; it is a residential treatment center that can currently accommodate up to 30 children with cerebral palsy from birth to 8 years. At the beginning, we will spread our hands on Chengdu CP centre by arranging regular volunteers visiting projects. Volunteers’ activities can be as simple as putting a smile on a child's face and giving them extra attention. However, we encourage volunteers to make sure they have stable schedules and are able to volunteer on a regular basis, because a fluid population of volunteers who come and go will have a negative emotional impact on the children.
